Dr. Sean Pitale, OD

Education

Dr. Pitale completed his undergraduate studies at San Diego State University in California. He went on to receive his doctorate in optometry from Inter-American University in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He completed his fellowship in Puerto Rico and Orlando, Florida. He is fluent in Spanish, and learning Italian.

Professional

Prior to coming to Piedmont Eyecare, Dr. Pitale practiced optometry in Hilton Head, SC and Indian Land, SC. He is a Major in the U.S. Air Force and a member of the South Carolina Air National Guard 169th Medical Group. Before a career change to Optometry, Dr. Pitale was a television sports/entertainment reporter in Myrtle Beach, Orlando, and Charlotte.

Personal Background

Dr. Pitale is originally from Philadelphia / South Jersey area. He is an avid Philly sports fan. Dean Martin is his favorite Rat Pack member. He has 2 teenage sons. He enjoys spending time with his 2 boys and stays active doing sports, music, and traveling.
